Like many, I wear many hats.
I began my career as a pharmacist, gaining diverse experience in retail, hospital, and corporate settings. During this time, I pursued a Master of Business Administration, which broadened my professional perspective.
Recognizing that helping others was integral to my calling, I chose to return to school to pursue a career in medicine. Twenty years ago, I embarked on this journey, subsequently specializing in Rehabilitation Medicine, mainly in the space of brain injury rehabilitation and disability management. I believe in a strength-based and solution focussed approach, working holistically and collaboratively with the various stakeholders within the WA brain injury community to facilitate integrated coordinated patient-centred care.
An ASLM (Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine) Accredited Lifestyle Medicine Doctor as of July 2025, I am also now pursuing a Master of Lifestyle Medicine and ASLM Fellowship.
Beyond my professional life, I embrace the roles of wife, daughter, mother, colleague and friend, all while navigating the delicate balance of personal and professional responsibilities.
Throughout my journey, I have faced moments of self-doubt and challenges, as well as the joys of small victories. My personal experiences of feeling overwhelmed and burned out highlighted the importance of prioritizing my own wellbeing. This realization prompted me to embark on a dedicated path toward sustainability work-life harmony.
I made a conscious choice to embrace curiosity and vulnerability, seeking guidance and support from others, including coaches and mentors. This transformative journey reinforced my commitment to continuous growth. As a lifelong learner in the expansive classroom of life, my interests encompass a wide range of areas, including trauma, mental health, neurodiversity, spirituality, positive psychology, lifestyle medicine and social prescribing.
These unique transformative experiences, combined with the knowledge and skills I have acquired over the years, have inspired me to support fellow professional women on their wellbeing journeys.
